01 / THE PHOTOGRAPHIC JOURNEY
Go beyond the view.
Yancheng, Jiangsu, combines World Heritage wetland ecology, thousand-year-old sea-salt culture, and revolutionary heritage, offering wild nature and rich culture. Known as the Eastern Wetland Capital and home of cranes and milu deer, its hidden core locations provide all the leading wetland photography viewpoints: morning flights of countless birds at the red-crowned crane reserve, deer at Yeludang sunset, milu deer against red beaches, Tiaozini's tidal trees and bird waves, brilliant sunrise, and tranquil dusk. We carefully time the best light throughout, missing no photographic opportunity. In November, Yancheng's Yellow Sea wetlands enter their prime photography season, with the year's richest colors and grandest ecological scenes. A World Natural Heritage Site and key hub on the East Asian–Australasian Flyway, this international airport for birds hosts millions of migrants in late autumn and early winter. Rare red-crowned cranes, Oriental storks, spoon-billed sandpipers, and other creatures gather in a breathtaking ecological panorama.

Yellow Sea migratory birds
In November, Yancheng's Yellow Sea wetlands enter their prime photography season, with the year's richest colors and grandest ecological scenes. Tiaozini bird flocks and light
Across Tiaozini's mudflats, dense flocks circle and rest, sometimes skimming the water, sometimes rising together to fill the sky in waves of birds. Wingbeats and calls combine in a deeply moving experience. Sunrise reddens mudflats and reed beds as bird silhouettes outline the horizon; at sunset, light spreads across wetlands, deer rejoin their herds, and birds return to roost. Every scene is an unrepeatable masterpiece of light.
