Itinerary: Depart the South Shetland Islands and cross the strait to explore fjords and islands on the western Antarctic Peninsula. Daily Zodiac landings allow observation and photography of thousands of penguins in shore colonies, seals on beaches, and other wildlife, with possible visits to foreign research stations. Alternatively, Zodiac cruises offer spectacular glaciers and drifting ice, varied geological forms, and marine wildlife such as seals and whales.
