Owen Ou graduated from the Photography Department of South China Normal University in 2009. Ou specialises in landscape, built-environment and commercial portrait photography, and has provided long-term services for public agencies and companies including the Shenzhen Procuratorate, the Land and Resources Bureau, Shenzhen Library, cultural centres, China Merchants Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Agricultural Bank of China, China Telecom, China Mobile, Guosen Securities, Topway Video, BMW clubs and Porsche clubs.

Photography fieldwork Ou regularly leads institutions and photography schools on field trips to photography destinations around the world, including the Balkans, Iceland, Germany, Greenland, Cuba, South Korea, Canada, Kenya, Laos, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Morocco, Mexico, Namibia, Nepal, Japan, Chiang Mai, Tanzania, Turkey, Uganda, Semporna, New Zealand and many regions of China.
